The Syver Pedersen Family

The Family of Syver Pedersen and His Wife (the Birth Family of the Paternal Grandfather of the Editor's Paternal Grandfather), on the Ravneberg Farm, Faaberg Parish, Oppland County, Norway. Syver Pedersen was a great-grandfather of the editor's paternal grandfather. His Døpte reports Siver was born on January 21, 1780, and his father's name was Peder of Opjordet. Syver's mother's name is not recorded. His baptismal witnesses were 25-year-old Christen Christensen of Ravneberg, Iver and 21-year-old Anne Johannesdatter of Refstad, 34-year-old Farmer Jon Pedersen and Gunnild of Ravnum.

Syver Pedersen appears, in the 1801 Census, as a 22-year-old Unmarried Servant on the Boleng farm.

Then, three years later, he appears as Syver Pedersen of Ravneberg in the Døpte of his son, Peder Syversen, who was born October 17, 1804. Peder's baptismal witnesses were 49-year-old Christen Christensen (who also was a witness at Syver's baptism, 24 years before) and Christen's son (22-year-old Christen Christensen) both of Ravneberg, 34-year-old Marit Halvorsdatter of Ravnum, and 45-year-old Innerstar (lodger) Marit Nielsdatter of Boleng.
